Jo.Darkthrone wrote:Hi folks, it's time to talk a bit about our new album - and as I don't like to talk or write about music much I can say that it is more serious and primitive than usual. Vocals are only done by Ted as I thought this would create a more solemn/introvert atmosphere. The album is called ARCTIC THUNDER because it is my fave bandname (old mega-obscure Norwegian band from the 80s that I asked the permission from to use as an album title). Meanwhile here is the cover, it is from the personal camping archives from a trip some years ago to SPÅLSBERGET in Nordmarka. IT has the usual spruce-tree skyline and also a bonfire - there will be another limited colour version with orange logo and title, because that was MY favourite colour, but the usual release looks like this in silver - as this was Ted's favourite version

Ålreit! Likte dette kjempegodt! Ikke like grimt som Hate Them, men fikk noe av den litt seige feelinga derifra. Brutal vokal fra Kveldulv!
Kanon!!

http://radionova.no/artikkel/m%C3%B8rk- ... mma-kultur fint.
http://www.metalsucks.net/2013/03/15/i- ... th-fenriz/

Isengard 7" Traditional doom cult
https://www.burningshed.com/store/peace ... /240/8038/
"A collector's dream come true, Traditional Doom Cult contains two rare and unreleased tracks from Darkthrone's Fenriz under the Isengard banner, the iconic solo project of Darkthrone's Fenriz, which was active from the late 1980s to the mid-1990s.
Tracks include The Light - an early song recorded in 1989 - and The Fright from the early 1990s. Both tracks bring to mind the doom-laden grooves (draped in darkness!) present on Isengard's debut release, Vinterskugge.
The recordings were made at the legendary Necrohell studios with Fenriz responsible for all instruments and vocals.
Traditional Doom Cult contains liner notes from Fenriz explaining the background to the tracks.
7" vinyl release including inner sleeve. "
The Wind Of 666 Black Hearts dobbel LP:
https://www.burningshed.com/store/peace ... /233/8039/
"Pre-album recordings from 1991 and 1992, created during Darkthrone's highly regarded transitional period as the band marched towards Black Metal infamy.
The Wind Of 666 Black Hearts contains tracks which would go on to feature on the classic A Blaze in the Northern Sky and Under a Funeral Moon albums. The A Blaze... rehearsal tracks feature the line-up of Nocturno Culto, Fenriz, Zephyrous and Dag Nilsen, while the Under a Funeral Moon rehearsal tracks saw Darkthrone narrowed to a 3-piece act, with Nocturno moving to bass and Zephyrous handling all guitars.
The recordings are taken from the band's rehearsal venue in Vinterbro.
The Wind Of 666 Black Hearts is presented on double white 180g vinyl. Packaged in a gatefold cover, the release includes rare photos, lyrics, and liner notes from Fenriz. "
